Year-end inventory count
December is coming. So is the count.
Once a year your whole warehouse walks the racks with a clipboard, or a phone with Excel on it. It works — otherwise you would not still be doing it that way. But it costs a couple of days, and the worst part comes afterwards: retyping the differences and working out where they came from.
Picked does the counting with the phone you already have.
How it works
Scan the location, scan the product, type the quantity. No separate scanner needed. Anyone who can scan can count — training takes less than fifteen minutes.
The difference is recorded as you go. Every count keeps what you counted, what the system believed, and the difference between them. In the portal you can read the variance report while the count is still going: this is right, this is not, and this is by how much. No pile of notes to retype afterwards.
You post the corrections when you say so. Tick the rows you want to correct, see exactly what will change, and only then does it reach your stock: the stock in Picked, or in Picqer, Exact Online, Business Central or AFAS Profit if you have connected it to Picked. Nothing is adjusted silently. Every correction stays traceable: who counted, who approved, and when.
Or export it. The variance report goes to your accountant as a CSV.
You do not have to replace your current system
Already running an ERP or WMS? Leave it in place. Picked does the counting. If you run Picqer, Exact Online, Business Central or AFAS Profit and it is connected to Picked, Picked posts the differences back into it — that stays the source of truth. Each row is sent on its own, not all at once: if your system refuses one, it stays open so you can send it again. Nothing goes missing silently. Business Central can only take them for a company without locations. The Exact Online, Business Central and AFAS Profit connections are new and not yet in use at any customer. On another system? Then you get the variance report as a list in the portal and as a CSV. Replacing an entire package for one count a year is a bad idea, and we are not going to suggest it.
Dutch data, Dutch servers
Your inventory data sits on servers in the Netherlands. No US cloud, no transfer outside the EU.
Why now rather than in December
The count itself takes a few days. Setting it up takes less, but you do not want to discover on 27 December that your location codes are wrong. One trial run on a single rack is enough to know whether this works for you.
